May 06, 2025 - Celeste is hiring a remote Financial Analyst Lead. Salary: ₱600/hour (starting, based on experience). Location: Philippines.

As a Financial Analyst Lead you’ll collaborate closely with executive leadership to deliver robust financial insights, ensure operational efficiency, and maintain full compliance with UK financial regulations

In this role, you will focus on preparing high-quality financial reports, conducting in-depth analysis, and delivering actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making across our growing UK real estate portfolio. You'll join a globally distributed Finance team working in the UK and an existing remote team in the Philippines.

Location: 100% Remote (Philippines-based)
Schedule: Full-Time, GMT (London) hours
Role Type: Independent Contractor
Rate: ₱600/hour (starting, based on experience)

What you’ll do: This is a hands-on finance role—ideal for someone with strong technical skills in accounting and financial analysis, and a passion for producing accurate, insightful reporting that supports business growth and operational efficiency.

Strategy & Optimization

  • Establish and optimize workflows, ensuring clarity, accountability, and alignment with business goals
  • Collaborate with the Head of Operations and Group Finance Manager to shape strategic financial priorities

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare and deliver monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages, including P&L, cash flow, and balance sheets
  • Conduct variance analysis, forecast modeling, and business trend reviews to support strategic decisions
  • Lead the preparation of financial insights for senior leadership and investors
  • Monitor and report on billing, AR, credit control, and cash flow to support operational targets.

VAT, Tax, and Compliance

  • Manage VAT returns and coordinate closely with UK accountants to meet compliance deadlines
  • Ensure adherence to all HMRC standards across multiple entities

Billing, AR & Credit Control

  • Assist with overseeing tenant invoicing and credit control efforts, supported by the team
  • Monitor receivables, resolve disputes, and lead communications with tenants when escalations are required
  • Strengthen cash collection practices, including automation and enforcement of standing orders

Systems & Process Optimization

  • Champion the use of Xero, Re-Leased, and CRM systems to ensure accuracy and transparency
  • Identify opportunities for automation and efficiencies across finance functions

Project Work & Business Support

  • Partner with stakeholders on special finance projects (e.g., lease restructures, new property onboarding, system upgrades)
  • Support strategic initiatives including budgeting, profitability reviews, and capital planning

About you:

Legally eligible to work in PH as an Independent Contractor
Fluent English speaker and writer; able to confidently present financial data to non-finance stakeholders
6+ years in finance/accounting, with strong reporting and analysis experience
Advanced proficiency with Xero (certification preferred) and Excel
Deep understanding of UK accounting practices, VAT compliance, and SPV structures
Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset
Highly organized and self-driven in a remote work environment


Bonus points for:
Team leadership and supervisory experience
Experience in real estate finance (especially UK market)
Familiarity with Re-Leased or similar property management accounting tools
Background in business intelligence, financial modeling, or forecasting tools
