Job Description

ROLE OVERVIEW

To provide support to the Amcor Healthcare Packaging Oshkosh by assisting in the operating of machines to produce customer orders in a timely and cost-efficient manner.

SCHEDULE OPTIONS

2-2-3 Straight Day shift 6a-6p

COMPENSATION

$20.36/hour and 1.5x pay on Sundays

WHAT YOU GET TO DO

  • Acts as a safety leader and puts safety first in all responsibilities
  • Promotes safety culture by positively communicating safety concerns/risks to co-workers, Leads, Supervisors, Managers, visitors, and all others in the AHPO facility
  • Performs job duties in accordance with documented procedures and instructions to ensure quality standards are met or exceeded
  • Assist Operators with machine setups, basic troubleshooting, roll changes, machines jams, and other adjustments in safe manner and according to procedures
  • Perform roll changes, return to stock, prep job jackets, print labels, and assisting operators with setups.
  • Backup to operator: runs through breaks, meetings, and other times as needed
  • Performs housekeeping duties per 6S requirements to ensure a clean and safe work environment
  • Navigate AMS to read, interpret, and print specs
  • Operate tilt lock, bander, and pallet jack
  • Actively support and participate in Continuous Improvement efforts
  • Follow all GMP, ISO, and PPE procedures
  • Assumes additional job related projects and tasks as they are assigned

WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU

  • Willing and able to work 12-hour shifts
  • Completion of Machine Assistant manual and a minimum of 30 days as Production Assistant
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow customer specifications
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and machine troubleshooting skills to assist Operators as needed
  • Required to have visual acuity to perform visual inspection including the use of measurement devices
  • Mid-level computer skills
  • Mid-level communication skills - written, verbal, and interpersonal
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
