Apr 11, 2025 - Lume Deodorant is hiring a remote Demand Planning Manager. Salary: $87,020-$110,000. Location: USA.

Lume is on a mission to normalize body odor beyond the pits and provide people with outrageously effective solutions so they never have to think twice about odor! Our Whole Body Deodorants can be used for any unwanted odor—from pits, to privates and beyond. It’s doctor-developed, made with skin-safe ingredients that are gentle enough for the most sensitive parts and clinically proven to control any external B.O. for 72 hours. In 2023, we launched a men’s line called Mando. Mando uses the same technology as Lume but has different scent profiles.

We are a 6-year-old fast growing, omni-channel deodorant and personal care brand that’s transforming the way that humans do hygiene. We joined forces with Harry’s, another disruptive brand with great people and infrastructure, to accelerate our growth. We are a team of self-starters that roll up our sleeves and get it done. Our style is collaborative and very fast-paced so an adaptive personality is a must.

We are looking for a Demand Planning Manager to join our team!

About the Team:

The demand planning team at Lume is responsible for forecasting and analyzing the business and is part of the Supply Chain organization. This team plays a critical role in ensuring efficient operational performance and in enabling senior management to make business-optimizing decisions through the process installation and best in class forecast accuracy.

About the Role:

We are looking for a high-performing analytical and collaborative person to join our demand planning team. This role will focus mainly on Retail forecasting, but will require process installation across channels. They will work in close collaboration with the broader Commercial, Analytics, Operations, and Finance teams and have frequent interaction with multiple company departments. This is also an opportunity that affords significant exposure to and impact on senior-level operations, finance and strategy for a high-growth consumer brand.

Key Responsibilities:

Own the monthly demand planning process for Lume & Mando Retail Channels:

  • Be the expert on drivers behind the business by running monthly cross-functional meetings to gather input from stakeholders across the company.
  • Produce accurate demand forecasts by analyzing key forecast drivers and thought partnering w/ Commercial partners.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, FP&A and Commercial teams to determine the downstream implications of published demand forecasts.
  • Develop root cause analysis and forward actions for demand forecasting issues by SKU, category, channel and customer.
  • Standardize forecasting tools to help assess business performance uniformly across channels.
  • Support scenario planning to account for market fluctuations, new product launches and changes in customer demand.

Manage projects that improve the accuracy and efficiency of our forecasting efforts:

  • Champion the evolution to forecasting with Blue Yonder and utilizing key IBP pillars into the Demand processes.
  • Develop content for the demand reviews and executive business review meetings to summarize the building blocks and key assumptions behind the forecast along with insights and recommendations.
  • Continuously improve forecasting in collaboration with Analytics. Provide insight to forecasting best practices across all Channels.
  • Measure and report key accuracy metrics to continuously improve the forecasting process with the goal of maintaining an efficient and optimized supply chain process.
  • Become an expert in Demand Planning both internally and externally and actively participate in knowledge sharing and training sessions with the team and the broader org.

Work cross-functionally with different levels of the organization:

  • Collaborate with the Marketing, Product and R&D teams to develop forecasts for new product launches.
  • Work closely with the cross-functional team on the annual budgeting and monthly reforecasting processes to provide visibility on revenue and growth.
  • Work with the FP&A, Strategy and Operations teams on revenue and margin gap improvement initiatives.
  • Have significant exposure to the Harry’s senior leadership and act as a thought partner on special projects and key business decisions.

This should describe you:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a record of high academic achievement.
  • 4-8 years of experience in Demand Planning, Analytics, Supply Chain, or other Business Operations function.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required.
  • Experience demand planning direct-to-consumer businesses strongly preferred.
  • Experience using demand planning and ERP software strongly preferred (Blue Yonder specifically).
  • Experience with S&OP or IBP strongly preferred.
  • Ability to manipulate data and insights to make recommendations.
  • Rigorously detail-oriented and produces exceptional deliverables.
  • Excellent ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders to drive cross-functional consensus and results in the day-to-day business.
  • Strong work ethic; ability to independently own and drive projects.
  • Motivated to learn; asks insightful questions and fully embraces working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Sense of humor.

The final compensation offer will ultimately be based on several considerations, such as the candidate’s location, skill level and experience. For candidates located outside of the target geographic area, base salary hiring ranges will be adjusted accordingly. This role is primarily hiring candidates in our Tier 3 geographic areas.
