Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and development of data architectures and systems for our customers.
  • Lead a Discovery Squad to understand client’s needs, objectives, current data architecture, systems, and design potential solutions to implement.
  • Define plans and strategies to implement solutions.
  • Participate in defining the roadmap, timelines, and estimates for new projects.
  • Research new technologies and implement PoCs to solve a wide variety of customer needs.
  • Build and maintain Modern Data Architecture.
Required Skills
  • Proven work experience as a Data Architect, Lead Data Engineer, Cloud Engineer, or similar roles.
  • In-depth understanding of database principles (relational such as PostgreSQL and non-relational).
  • Deep knowledge of Modern Data Architecture including implementation of Data Warehouses and Data Lakes.
  • Knowledge of data processing ETL/ELT workflows (e.g., Airflow).
  • Understanding Big Data technologies and applications (e.g., Snowflake, Hive, Spark).
  • Solid understanding of Python programming language and another strongly typed language.
  • Knowledge of data modeling.
  • Hands-on experience working with cloud-based data management and processing services (AWS Athena, S3, Glue, EMR, Google BigQuery, etc.).
  • Capacity to develop implementation plans weighing the pros and cons of different alternatives.
  • Ability to interpret and implement customers’ technical requirements.
  • Experience setting up data processing architectures from scratch.
  • Great capacity for teamwork.
  • Solid command of the English language for writing technical documents such as Design Documents or Architectural Design Records.
Nice to Have Skills
  • Experience with streaming technologies (Kafka, Kafka Connect, Flink, Kinesis).
  • Experience working with the Modern Data Stack.
  • Deep knowledge of software development methodologies.
  • Experience implementing Machine Learning based systems (ML model lifecycle, monitoring, etc.).
  • Understanding of DevOps principles and implementations (CI/CD, gitops, etc.).
  • Positive problem-solving attitude.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience working in client-facing tech consultancy roles. A proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions.
  • Certification in cloud platforms (such as AWS Solutions Architect).
