SageWest Health Care in Wyoming seeks a CT Technologist to perform diagnostic CT imaging in a fast-paced hospital setting, ensuring patient safety and high-quality results.

Qualifications

• Postsecondary graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology (Required).
• Associate’s Degree in radiologic technology (Preferred).
• ARRT Radiography Certification and state licensing where required (TX, CA, FL, KY) Upon Hire (Required).
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire (Required).
• CT ARRT certification (RT)(CT) within 1 year (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform CT imaging procedures according to established protocols with patient safety in mind.
• Verify patient identity and obtain clinical history prior to procedures.
• Prepare and administer contrast media under radiologist supervision.
• Operate CT equipment to obtain high-quality images.
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation of procedures.
• Apply radiation safety measures to minimize exposure.
• Assist with quality control and preventive maintenance.
• Respond to emergencies including contrast reactions.
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and staff to deliver care.
• Participate in continuing education and maintain certifications.

What You'll Do

As a CT Technologist, you'll play a critical role in helping physicians diagnose and treat patients by providing high-quality diagnostic imaging in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Performing CT imaging procedures according to established protocols while ensuring patient safety and comfort
• Verifying patient identity and obtaining relevant clinical history prior to procedures
• Preparing and administering contrast media under the direction of a radiologist
• Operating CT imaging equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
• Maintaining accurate patient records and documenting procedures within the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Practicing radiation safety measures to minimize exposure for patients and staff
• Assisting with quality control procedures, equipment calibration, and preventive maintenance
• Responding appropriately to emergency situations, including contrast reactions
• Collaborating with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care
• Participating in continuing education and maintaining professional certifications

Education

• Postsecondary (Cert/Diploma/Program Grad) graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology (Required) And
• Associate’s Degree in radiologic technology (Preferred)

Licenses/Certifications

• ARRT Radiography Certification and state-specific licensing where required (TX, CA, FL and KY) Upon Hire (Required) And
• (RT)(CT) ARRT - Computed Tomography (CT) within 1 Year (Preferred) And
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire (Required)
• In Texas, MRT certificate (Texas Medical Board) is required to perform radiologic procedures, including CT. Upon Hire Required
• In California, CRT license (CDPH Radiologic Health Branch) is required to perform CT procedures. Upon Hire Required

Experience

• 1-3 years of experience in diagnostic imaging, including CT procedures (Preferred) And
• Prior Experience in a hospital or acute care setting (Preferred)
