May 18, 2025 - Thaloz is hiring a remote Cloud Security Engineer / DevSecOps. Location: LATAM.

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Security Engineer / DevSecOps professional responsible for implementing and managing security measures in cloud environments. This role is crucial for ensuring compliance with security policies and developing secure coding practices to protect our applications and data in the cloud.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provision and manage security policies using WIZ (security monitoring tool).
  • Write and evaluate code in the Rego query language for policy enforcement against JSON representations of resources.
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate security practices into CI/CD pipelines using GCP, Azure DevOps, and AWS.
  • Conduct security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation strategies.
  • Stay updated on the latest security trends, threats, and technologies to enhance our security posture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Proven experience in cloud security engineering with Azure and AWS; GCP experience is a differentiator.
  • Strong knowledge of WIZ for security policy management.
  • Proficiency in writing code in the Rego query language.
  • Expertise in at least one cloud provider with PaaS services.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and practices, particularly Azure DevOps.

Preferred Skills

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate) are a plus.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex security issues.
