Job description

Summary

BVS, a Reggio-inspired Early Enrichment Center, is seeking supportive teachers to join our growing team. Our program emphasizes the natural world, offering outdoor time, natural classroom items, and a home-like environment. We serve up to 43 children and prioritize partnerships with families and the community.

Our hours are from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm. We seek individuals to foster a child-centered curriculum, model appropriate interactions and caring relationships, and support children’s growth. Candidates should have an interest in child development and be able to meet Teacher Qualification standards per NH Child Care Licensing. Respect for families' roles and a nature-inspired philosophy are essential. This role begins as a floater across all age groups, with potential advancement to a Lead Teacher position as we expand.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in implementing curriculum activities and encourage children's participation.
  • Engage actively in activities; manage classroom cleanliness, order, and materials.
  • Communicate regularly with parents through discussions and reports.
  • Promote self-help skills and good hygiene through modeling.
  • Support smooth daily transitions from home to the center.
  • Adhere to all center policies and state regulations.
  • Maintain a personal professional development plan for continuous improvement.
Minimum Requirements
  • High energy and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written, and basic computer proficiency.
  • Understanding of child development principles.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to obtain Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certifications.
  • Associate’s Degree in ECE or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a licensed program.
  • Successful background check and health screening.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and sit/stand for extended periods.
