Job summary

Serco Inc. is hiring for multiple skilled roles (Engineering Technicians, Mechanical Assemblers, Welders) to support the U.S. Navy Combat Systems program at Norfolk, Virginia.

Candidates should have shipboard or shipyard experience and be able to obtain a DoD Secret clearance while traveling up to 10% to sites as needed. Onsite work five days a week with safety as a priority; willingness to obtain required certifications and access to shipyards will be essential.

Serco is hiring several skillsets to be part of a dynamic team supporting our Combat Systems program located in the beautiful surroundings in Norfolk, Virginia. Serco supports our US Naval Ships with successful and safe work by providing cabling, equipment, and C5ISR system installations for our Military. You will join an amazing team to fabricate, and assemble various electromechanical and electronic assemblies by applying appropriate safety techniques. You will be part of a team that works closely with the customer and other Serco team members to deliver high technology performed on Combat Systems program.

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Have

• Shipboard or Shipyard experience or a related field.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance

• The ability to obtain any required certifications.
• Experience in (1) one of the following areas:
• Engineering Technician experience ranging from 2-10 years of experience.
• Mechanical Assembler experience ranging from 2-10 years of experience.
• Welder experience ranging from 5-10 years of experience.
• Have attention to safety (which is critical).
• Candidate must be willing to travel up to 10% to various work sites.

Additional Desired Experience And Skills

• OSHA Certification
