Qualifications

• 3 years of recent childcare/family assistant experience required.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the US.
• Must be local to the DC-metro area (DC, MD, VA).
• Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential.
• Must be comfortable around 1 dog and have a clean driving record with a car.

A busy family in Alexandria is seeking a dependable Family Assistant to care for their 4-year-old son and provide household support on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 12:00 PM–7:30 PM, with the opportunity for additional hours on Mondays, Fridays, or weekends as needed. Their son will be starting kindergarten in late August, so much of the day will focus on family assistant responsibilities, including organizing, laundry, grocery shopping, and meal preparation, before transitioning to school pick-up and afternoon childcare. The family also has a friendly black lab, so comfort around dogs is essential.
