Job summary

The Lieber Institute for Brain Development (LIBD) in Baltimore seeks a Staff Scientist with deep hiPSC experience to join the Stem Cell Core. You will contribute to hiPSC-based neuronal modeling of neurodevelopmental and neuropsychiatric disorders, and help manage cell line resources and differentiation protocols.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, perform culture and data analysis, and support ongoing translational projects. A Ph.D.

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in cell and molecular biology, neuroscience, or a closely related field.
  • Extensive training in hiPSC culture and hiPSC-based neuronal modeling.
  • Experience in disease modeling with large cohorts of iPSC lines is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Perform hiPSC-based experiments including reprogramming, culture, differentiation, and data collection and analysis.
  • Maintain detailed experimental records and ensure reproducibility of protocols.
  • Assist in postmortem dural fibroblast culture.
  • Assist in preparing cell materials upon request from internal and external researchers.
  • Assist with records, reports, filing, and chart maintenance for management of cell line repository as assigned.
  • Provide technical training and experimental design support to internal researchers for stem cell-related projects.
  • Effectively communicate with researchers to support cross-institute collaborative projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.
