Job summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a Member Experience Associate SH-OC to manage the front office operations of the Health Information Management Department in Halethorpe, MD. You will handle basic health information inquiries, release of information, and patient data processing while ensuring HIPAA compliance and a high level of member service.

Responsibilities include processing requests, guiding staff and patients, and maintaining accurate records within KP HealthConnect and related systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience with protected health information required.
• Minimum one year of customer service experience required.
• Per the National Agreement, current KP Coalition employees have this experience requirement waived.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure seamless front office operations for Health Information Management.
• Process protected health information in compliance with regulations.
• Identify and escalate complex inquiries to appropriate departments.
• Verify patient identity and process Release of Information requests.
• Assist patients and staff with KP systems and navigational help.
