Sharecare is hiring a Release of Information Clerk to process requests accurately and on time, safeguarding patient privacy under HIPAA. You will retrieve and scan medical records, and transmit files according to procedures.

You will validate requests, perform quality checks, maintain equipment, and provide excellent customer service while handling multiple tasks and ensuring proper invoicing.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma (GED) required.
• Minimum 2 years experience in a medical records setting preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Typing speed of 50 wpm or faster.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
• Willingness to learn new equipment and processes quickly.
• Self-motivated, team player with good customer service skills.

Responsabilidades

• Retrieves and scans medical records; transmits daily per requests and procedures.
• Date stamps requests and highlights pertinent data.
• Validates releases of information for accuracy and compliance.
• Performs quality checks on all work to ensure confidentiality and proper invoicing.
• Maintains equipment and keeps work area clean and professional.
• Delivers excellent customer service, addressing client concerns proactively.
• Handles incoming requests (mail, calls, faxes) as needed.
• Maintains knowledge of state laws and fee structures related to releases.
• Complies with HIPAA and other applicable regulations.
