Job summary

The Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians seeks a Health Information Records Manager to supervise the Medical Support department at the Siletz Community Health Clinic, overseeing reception, scheduling, patient registration and medical records while ensuring HIPAA compliance with HHS and state regulations.

You will coordinate outgoing medical records, support staff, and implement policies to maintain accurate electronic medical records and timely reporting in line with governing rules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a health-related field and at least 3 years in a medical office setting.
• OR an Associate's degree with at least 4 years in medical records, patient registration/benefits coordination, and reception/scheduling; 2 years supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Medical Support department including reception, scheduling, registration and medical records.
• Coordinate and ensure accuracy of scanned documentation and chart completion.
• Prepare and file internal and external medical reports in the electronic medical record system.
