Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) Health Privacy Office seeks a Privacy Analyst to monitor day-to-day privacy compliance. Under supervision, you will conduct HIPAA audits, site visits, and train staff to maintain the Privacy program.

You will coordinate investigations and ensure proper follow-up, logging inquiries in the matter management system, and supporting interdepartmental communications. The role requires a bachelor’s degree with two years of related experience, or an internal

• Requires a bachelor’s degree and two years of related experience, or an internal candidate with a high school diploma and at least four years of related experience.
• Ability to plan, organize and present ideas clearly in oral and written form.
• Must be flexible to work in a varied and sometimes hectic environment.

• Conducts HIPAA audits and responds to inquiries.
• Conducts HIPAA site visits.
• Coordinates, develops and provides training for HIPAA Privacy program maintenance.
• Coordinates investigation and response to reported allegations; ensures follow-up and reporting.
• Ensures questions and allegations are logged in the matter management system.
• Facilitates communications between areas of the organization and the Privacy Office.
• Assists in annual review of policies and procedures related to Privacy.
• Other duties as assigned.
