Job summary

University Medical Center of El Paso (UMC) is seeking an EDI Analyst to analyze requirements, test, and process various EDI transactions. You will work closely with the EDI team and IS leadership to ensure interface tasks meet schedules and HIPAA/JIP specifications, providing technical expertise in EDI processing.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication, client/server knowledge, SQL skills, and a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or a related field.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in managed care applications, with SQL, DTS packages, stored procedures, and Windows platforms.
• Proven experience processing batch interface files and knowledge of HIPAA transaction code sets.
• Experience with EDI interface engine tools to troubleshoot and support data processing.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements, test, and process EDI transactions.
• Perform day-to-day EDI operations aligned with contractual and HIPAA/JIP specs.
• Collaborate with IS Director and EDI team to ensure on-schedule interface tasks.
