As a Social Editor, you’ll help shape the voice — driving growth, crafting platform-native content, and being first on the pulse of the culture. Company Culture

Making our ambitious vision a reality will not be easy. So we don’t hide the truth…it\u2019s not easy to work here.

Our culture is unique and characterized by many things including but not limited to high standards, transparency, relentless accountability, a pursuit of goals & intellectual honesty (not looking good) and growth mindset.

Our company culture will evolve over time, but many of these values are fundamental to what we do and who we are and, therefore, will not change. Every day, we strive to live as closely to these values as we can, and of course, it doesn’t always happen.

Responsibilities
  • Ideate, source, and publish 9+ pieces of content per day across our social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook).
  • Design high-performing visuals using Photoshop, or similar tools.
  • Spot emerging hip-hop conversations and translate them into timely, platform-native content.
  • React quickly to breaking news and help roll out editorial content in real time — including nights and weekends.
  • Use data, insights, and experimentation to grow followers and engagement.
  • Own OKR reporting — double down on what works, cut what doesn’t.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with editorial and video teams to execute content priorities — ensuring all posts feel native to platform and true to our voice.
  • Partner with Sales to execute branded content that fits our tone and connects with our audience.
Qualifications

Must Have

  • 2–3 years of experience running social for a brand or media outlet.
  • Deep love and knowledge of Hip-Hop — from mainstream to up and coming.

  • A deep understanding of journalism guidelines, accuracy, and fact-checking standards.

  • Comfortable using analytics tools (e.g., Instagram Insights, Measure Studio, or similar) to inform strategy and optimize performance.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with a strong eye for grammar, tone, and voice.
  • Strong communication skills & experience working within a team + across departments (editorial, video, design.)
  • Positive, intuitive, and always proactive.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with branded content or sales support.
  • Music industry experience.
