The role requires leadership, at least five years in HIM and RHIA/RHIT certification preferred, with a focus on collaborative problem solving and process improvement in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in health information management in a hospital/clinic setting.
• RHIA or RHIT certification preferred or equivalent experience.
• Strong leadership, coaching and staff development skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee department cost centers aligned with mission and goals.
• Collaborate with leadership to implement and revise plans for departmental services.
• Supervise HIM team operations, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
• Oversee recruitment, orientation, training and disciplinary actions.
• Monitor productivity and drive process improvements for quality of service.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain confidential information handling.
