Job summary

Job description

Description:

Serves as the primary support source for the Health System, including 8 Acute Care Hospitals, over 50 outpatient service locations, and all Ambulatory Surgical Centers. Provides onboarding and ongoing education to supporting staff. Performs quality assurance within the area of responsibility, monitors reports and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement, and tests new software applications and system upgrades in collaboration with Information Technology. Ensures compliance with TJC, CMS, OIG, Medical Staff Rules and Regulations, AHIMA guidelines, HIPAA regulations, and applicable State and Federal Laws. Interacts with clinical and administrative departments, physicians, clinicians, and patients. Salary ranges from $19.15 to $23.17, depending on experience.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma, GED, certificate, training, or equivalent experience.
  • Preferred: Associate's Degree in Health Information Management with RHIT and/or RHIA certification, or equivalent experience in an acute care setting within a large healthcare organization.
  • Knowledge of statistics, data collection, and presentation.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, planning, and prioritization skills to meet objectives under time constraints.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to comprehend oral and written instructions and attention to detail.
  • Ability to travel between hospitals as needed.
  • Typing speed of at least 25 wpm and passing standard testing in Word and Excel.
