Manatee Memorial Hospital is seeking an Health Information Management (HIM) Specialist to support the HIM department with accurate, secure, and timely medical records processing in Bradenton, FL.

The role involves organizing, analyzing, maintaining, and retrieving health information in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards, while ensuring confidentiality and audit readiness. You will collaborate with patients, providers, and staff to fulfill information requests.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Vocational/Technical School or Diploma.
• Associate’s degree or higher.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in health information management or related field.
• Master’s degree may be considered advantageous.

Responsibilities

The Health Information Management (HIM) Specialist supports the HIM department by ensuring the accurate, secure, and timely processing of medical records. This role is responsible for organizing, analyzing, maintaining, and retrieving patient health information in compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards. The HIM Specialist interacts with patients, providers, and hospital staff to process requests for information, maintain confidentiality, and ensure records are complete and audit ready.
