Job summary

VNA Care in Worcester, MA seeks a HIM Coordinator for a per-diem, weekday hybrid role. You will obtain MD orders, ensure requirements are met, and keep patient records compliant with regulatory and agency rules.

You will support clinical operations with strong knowledge of medical records and MD orders processes, collaborating with the manager to protect the integrity and security of patient information. The position requires meticulous detail, organizational skills and proficiency with Excel,

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years office experience required.
• Experience with secure document transmission, retrieval, maintenance and HIM.
• Detailed oriented with excellent organizational and communications skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, Email, Outlook and other office software.

Responsibilities

• Obtains MD orders and ensures requirements are met and documents are available for all patients in compliance with regulatory and Agency requirements.

Supports the clinical operations in each location through knowledge of the medical records process and MD orders process. Works with manager to achieve and ensure integrity and security of patient’s information and medical records for all patients.

Compensation $21.00 per hour.

Experience:
