What to Expect
- Serve as a primary source of support for the health system, including 8 acute care hospitals and over 50 outpatient services
- Track and trend Physician Delinquency Reports, ensuring timely notifications to medical staff regarding pending delinquent medical records
- Follow up on non-compliance issues and report findings to hospital and medical staff leadership
- Prepare reports and graphs for Medical Record Committee meetings and Joint Commission evaluations
- Collaborate with team members to achieve individual and departmental goals
What is Required
- Minimum educational requirement: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- Experience in medical record functions within an acute care setting
- Knowledge of medical record review processes according to CMS and TJC accreditation standards
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external customers
- Ability to travel between hospitals and meet specific job duties and deadlines
How to Stand Out
- Bachelor’s Degree in health information management, Health Services Administration, or a related field
- Certification as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA)
- Strong statistical knowledge and experience in data collection, analysis, and presentation
- Ability to problem-solve and prioritize tasks effectively under time constraints
- Typing speed of 25 wpm and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
