Job summary

Hilton Arlington is seeking a Director of Engineering to oversee the property's facilities maintenance, ensuring efficient operation, maintenance, service, and repair of all equipment. This role requires strong leadership and technical depth to manage guest-facing and back-of-house operations.

The ideal candidate will lead maintenance staff, uphold safety and regulatory standards, and collaborate with hotel leadership to optimize asset performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 5+ years in a related field including senior management experience.
• Hotel or related field experience required; trade license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise the Maintenance staff, overseeing the maintenance of buildings and grounds.
• Apply extensive experience in engineering, maintenance and related fields to ensure efficient operations.
• Evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately, handling problems effectively in high-pressure situations.
• Convey information and ideas clearly and effectively listen to and understand issues raised by co-workers and guests.
• Work with and understand financial information and data, including basic arithmetic functions to support maintenance operations.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures for maintenance requests, schedule maintenance and ensure compliance with regulations.
