Job description

A line-Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking all food items based on standardized recipes for the Corporate HQ outlet, Banquets/Catering in meeting rooms, and the Executive Lounge. The role involves maintaining high standards to produce appealing and appetizing dishes, ensuring cleanliness, sanitation, and safety in the kitchen, and minimizing waste to optimize cost and production efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent, with experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
  • Food Handlers Certification (must meet State requirements).
  • Ability to communicate clearly and evaluate multiple options quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to work well under stress and maintain composure and objectivity.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide friendly, service-oriented interactions with guests and colleagues.
  • Maintain regular attendance as per Aimbridge Hospitality standards.
  • Adhere to appearance and grooming standards, including proper uniform and name tag.
  • Follow safety, sanitation, and operational regulations at all times.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of menus and preparation standards.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of storage and work areas.
  • Prepare food and stations prior to service to ensure prompt guest service.
  • Prepare buffet items, food for banquets, and staff cafeteria as per standards.
  • Operate and maintain kitchen equipment, practicing safe work habits.
  • Assist with food storage, rotation, and proper equipment use.
  • Participate in team meetings and perform other duties as assigned.
  • Interact professionally with guests and staff, maintaining trust and good character.
