Roskam Foods, a Grand Rapids, Michigan-based contract manufacturer, seeks handlers trained in forklift operation and material movement to support multiple facilities. You will load/unload, stage, and transport materials, logging weights and ensuring FIFO discipline to maintain smooth production lines.

Qualifications

• Experience operating forklifts and loading equipment.
• Ability to inspect loads for accuracy and ensure safe transport.
• Knowledge of FIFO and material forecasting for line readiness.
• Strong attention to safety procedures in a warehouse setting.

Responsibilities

• Operate lifting devices to load, unload, transport, or stack materials.
• Inspect product loads and move safely to ensure timely delivery.
• Load or unload materials from pallets and other transport devices.
• Position lifting devices and secure materials for transport to designated areas.
• Weigh materials and record weight or data on tags and labels.
• Follow FIFO order and anticipate line material needs to keep production flowing.
• Monitor equipment for faults and report defects through proper channels.
