Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group seeks a skilled HIL Test Engineer to support automotive ECU testing and validation. You will work with HIL benches, develop and execute test cases, troubleshoot issues, and assist in software and system validation.

Responsibilities include creating automated test scripts, analyzing CAN/CAN-FD/LIN results, and collaborating with software, controls, and systems engineering teams to ensure robust validation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years in HIL testing or automotive validation.
• Hands-on experience with dSPACE HIL systems.
• Experience with Vector CANoe and CANalyzer tools.
• Knowledge of CAN, CAN-FD, and LIN protocols.
• Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink and test automation scripting (Python or CAPL).
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute HIL test cases for automotive ECUs.
• Perform functional, integration, and regression testing.
• Configure and troubleshoot HIL test benches.
• Work with dSPACE HIL, ControlDesk, CANoe, and CANalyzer.
• Analyze CAN/CAN-FD/LIN communication and test results.
• Create and maintain automated test scripts using Python, CAPL, or MATLAB.
• Troubleshoot ECU, hardware, software, and communication issues.
• Document test results and report defects.
• Collaborate with software, controls, calibration, and systems engineering teams.
