Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Virginia is seeking a Transportation Design Engineer to develop transportation projects, collaborate with various stakeholders, and ensure compliance with regulations. This role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering, 4-7 years of experience, and a PE license or ability to obtain it soon. Qualifications

• 4–7 years of hands-on experience in transportation design and/or project management.
• PE license in Virginia or EIT capable of obtaining PE within 1 year.
• Familiarity with VDOT standards and project delivery processes.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop transportation projects including roads and traffic management.
• Collaborate with planners, engineers, contractors, and public agencies.
• Assist with project management activities such as scheduling and cost estimation.
• Prepare engineering designs and documentation compliant with VDOT standards.
• Support and mentor junior team members.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations.
