Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is seeking a full-time Highway Sweeper Operator in the Tampa, FL area to perform street sweeping, debris removal and related highway maintenance tasks on the FDOT Tampa I-75 project.

The role requires a clean driving record, ability to pass background checks, and physical stamina. Candidates should have at least 2 years of roadway maintenance experience and the ability to operate wheel loaders and other equipment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Highway Sweeper Operator

Position Summary

Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking full-time Sweeper Operator to perform maintenance and sweeping operations in the Tampa, FL area, specifically on the FDOTTampa I75project. This position requires performing a variety of tasks related to street sweeping, debris removal, highway maintenance and other tasks including sign and guardrail repair, concrete repair, mowing and vegetation control, roadway snow removal, etc. as well as adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures.

Schedule

Full time. Must be able to work some day and weekend work, if needed.

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of related experience
• Roadway maintenance experience
• Concrete forming/repair experience
• Wheel Loader, Skidsteer, Fork Lift, Asphalt Roller, etc operator experience

Preferred Experience

• Sweeping experience on streets/highways preferred
• MOT Certifications (traffic control)
• Concrete forming experience
• Supervisor (experience)

Clean driving record is essential
Must pass criminal background check

• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds repeatedly while twisting; other strenuous manual labor may be required
