Job summary

RINA is seeking a Project Engineer for Highway/Roadway design in Ohio, with a PE license and at least 4 years of design experience on roadway projects. The role involves hands-on engineering, drawing, and collaboration across project teams, with opportunities for site visits and client meetings.

The position supports planning, calculation, and design of infrastructure projects such as highways, local roadways, and utilities, with remote work options available and Ohio licensure preferred.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited institution.
• 4+ years of experience in design engineering, preferably on ODOT or other roadway transportation projects.
• Professional Engineering License (PE) in Ohio.
• Proficiency in MicroStation Open Roads Design.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, MicroStation, and other PC software packages.
• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and coordinate on larger projects.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Designs, CAD drawings, and specifications on assigned projects under the guidance of Project Manager.
• Coordinate with engineers, drafters, designers, and staff engineers within the project team.
• Ensure drawings meet scope, budget, and schedule.
• Review drawings for completeness, accuracy, and constructability.
• Develop conceptual and basic engineering documents and design criteria.
