Job summary

U.S. Facilities, Inc. in Virginia Beach, VA is seeking a Safety Service Patroller to help keep roadways clear and safe for the traveling public.

The SSP wears highly visible uniforms and drives a marked vehicle while assisting motorists and responders. Essential duties include monitoring road safety during crashes and obstructions, providing roadside assistance, coordinating with TOC staff, and delivering on-scene traffic control.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be able to perform the physical demands listed herein.
• Clear written and verbal communication in English; Spanish language skills are a plus.
• Valid driver's license and basic vehicle knowledge.
• Willingness to work varied shifts and weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Monitors road safety during crashes, obstructions, debris, and lane-closing events.
• Provides roadside assistance to stranded motorists (tires, fuel, batteries, etc.).
• Coordinates with TOC staff and on-scene responders for incident control.
• Performs incident response and on-scene traffic control as needed.
