The Arizona Department of Transportation seeks a Highway and Construction Laborer in Phoenix, AZ. This entry-level role supports highway operations, operating equipment and performing pavement and landscape tasks to maintain a safe, efficient transportation system.

Note: Hiring incentive of $4,000; placement based on experience and qualifications. Opportunities to advance to Tech levels with increasing responsibilities and wages, subject to CDL requirements and safety rules.

Formación

• CDL permit required within 90 days of hire and a Class A CDL within 6 months.
• Valid driver's license required for operating state vehicles.
• Experience with roadway/Highway operations preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Operate motorized vehicles and equipment for highway maintenance.
• Perform pavement care and preservation, landscaping, and shoulder repairs.
• Assist with signing and striping, and deliver equipment/materials as needed.
• Schedule, oversee, and guide subordinates in duties listed for the series.
