Position Description:
Physical maintenance and repair of County highways primarily using hand tools and motorized handheld equipment.
Repairs and maintains road surfaces, berms, culverts, ditches, fences, bridge surfaces, guardrails, and control of roadside vegetation.
Operates dump truck with and without a snowplow and spinner.
Job Prerequisites:
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) equivalency. One - three years’ experience performing semi-skilled labor work or any combination of education, training, and experience, which provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the work of this class.
Additional Qualifications (Agency/Dept. Qualifications):
Valid Ohio Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Subject to DOT regulations. Safe driving record.

Compensation:
Salary:$24.81-27.14 per hour (under current union contract)
Based on union contract requirements (Highway Maintenance Worker I, II, III)
Hours:Full-time 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
