Job description

Seasonal Highway Maintenance Worker 1 (HMW1) - No CDL Required, PNs: 20078939, 20078937, 20074723, 20057115

Location: ODOT District 12 - Lake County - Painesville; 4 positions available.

What You Will Do:
  1. Serve the public by working to make roads in Ohio safer.
  2. Perform highway maintenance activities such as flagging, pothole patching, repairing guardrails, litter pickup, and mowing.
  3. This is a seasonal position limited to 1,000 hours.
Qualifications:

Formal education in arithmetic (including addition and subtraction) and in reading, writing, and speaking common English vocabulary, or equivalent to the minimum class qualifications for employment listed above.

Note: This classification is considered unskilled labor and is exempt from written examination in accordance with Section 124.11(B)(2) of the Revised Code. If involved in driving motorized snow and ice control equipment, a valid commercial driver’s license is required.
