This full-time role involves performing a variety of roadway maintenance tasks during day, mid, and night shifts, including snow and ice operations, guardrail and sign work, electrical tasks, mowing, tree trimming, and routine repairs. Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance tasks including snow/ice operations and debris removal.
• Repair and install guardrails, signs, and related equipment; conduct lighting/electrical work as needed.
• Operate and maintain equipment (wheel loader, skidsteer, forklift, asphalt roller).
• Respond to incidents and perform drainage cleaning and asphalt/concrete repairs.
• Adhere to all regulations and company policies; comply with background checks and safety guidelines.

Position Summary: Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking full-time Highway Maintenance Technicians to perform advanced maintenance operations in the Dallas - Fort Worth, TX area during the day shift,mid shift, and night shift. This position is based in Joshua, TX and requires performing a variety of tasks related to snow and ice, guardrail and attenuator repair/replacement, signs, lighting/electrical work, mowing, tree trimming, incident response, drainage cleaning, debris removal, and asphalt/concrete repairs, and adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures. Schedule flexibility is a must, as there may be 10 – 20% of night work involved

Required Experience:

• Safely perform electrical work at assigned areas


• Work at varied heights


• Exposure to using shovels, weed trimming machinery, brooms, & various small hand tools


• Air compressor operations familiarity


• Minimum 2years of related experience


• Must have a valid Driver's License


• Construction or Roadway maintenance experience


• Guardrail and Sign installation experience


• Concrete forming/repair experience


• MOT (Traffic control certifications/courses)


• Wheel Loader, Skidsteer, Fork Lift, Asphalt Roller, etc operator

Preferred Experience:

• Electrical &Roadway maintenance experience


• CDL license a plus


• Bilingual: English/Spanish (read/write) preferred but not required

Clean driving record is essential
Must pass criminal background check

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED


• Maintain company standards for background checks (i.e. criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing)


• Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations


• Carry out simple arithmetic functions


• Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job


• Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology


• Ability to use smart phone and applications


• Ability to adjust to changing work schedule


• Ability to work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditions


• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds


• Ability to operate hand/power tools

Schedule: Full time; Day & Night shift available. Must be able to work a rotating schedule and weather events such as snow,ice, and floods.
