Job summary

DeAngelo Contracting Services, LLC is seeking a Highway Maintenance Technician to perform a variety of roadway maintenance tasks under close supervision, training in Highway/Roadway Routine Maintenance. The company serves State DOTs, railroads, and other clients nationwide.

You will operate equipment and perform culvert maintenance, mowing, patching, storm cleanup, fence repair, and debris removal while following safety protocols. Competitive compensation and full benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of clean driving history.
• Able to work in adverse weather conditions.
• Able to lift moderately heavy objects and perform physical tasks.
• Be able to bend, climb, stand, stoop, or walk for long periods.
• Good eye-hand coordination and situational awareness.

Responsibilities

• Clean and clear culverts.
• Mowing, and clearing brush from roadsides.
• Patching broken or eroded pavements and shoulders.
• Assist in storm cleanup.
• Fence and sign repair.
• Litter/debris removal.
• Emergency response.
• Operate equipment used in Highway Maintenance.
• Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, brooms, etc.
• Use power tools such as chainsaws, pole saws, weed eaters, backpack blowers, etc.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.

EXPERIENCE:

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of clean driving.
• Ableto work in adverse weather conditions.
• Able to lift moderately heavy objects.
• Be able to bend, climb, stand, stoop, or walk for long periods of time.
• Accurate eye-hand coordination.
• Ability to adapt to changing situations with work plans and work schedules due to workload or season display.
