Position summary:

Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is seeking full-time Maintenance Technicians in the Jacksonville, FL area. The role involves performing various highway maintenance tasks, adhering to all relevant federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team performing highway maintenance tasks.
• MUST be flexible and able to work on-call and nights when necessary.
• Tasks include road patrol, lighting repair, sign repair, guardrail repair, heavy equipment operation, herbicide application (licensed), and incident response.

Preferred Experience:

• Roadway maintenance or construction experience.
• MOT Certifications.

Note: A clean driving record is essential. Must pass criminal background check.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic.
• Maintain safety equipment for each job.
• Adapt to new technology and use smartphone applications.
• Adjust to changing work schedules.
• Work safely in various environmental and weather conditions.

Schedule:

Full-time, with flexibility for on-call work.

Salary:

$17.00/hr+ depending on experience.
