Highway Maintenance Technician

Position Summary

Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. (Jorgensen) is currently seeking a full‑time Highway Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance operations throughout all of Bexar County, Texas. This role involves a variety of tasks related to highway maintenance, debris removal, sign and guardrail repair, concrete repair, tree and brush removal, pothole repair, heavy equipment operations and compliance with federal, state and local regulations and company policies.

Reporting Location

Technicians will report to the project yard located in Adkins, TX.

Required Experience

• 0–2 years of related experience in maintenance, repair, or installation of guardrail, cable rail, or crash cushion
• Roadway or tollway maintenance experience
• Concrete form work, placement, and repairs
• Operator of wheel loader, skid‑steer, forklift, or similar equipment

Responsibilities

• Tree and brush removal

Preferred Experience

• Roadway maintenance or construction experience
• MOT certifications
• Traffic control experience

Schedule

Full time. 7:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m., Monday–Thursday. Must be flexible and available for on‑call, day and night shifts.

Compensation

Salary depends on licenses, certifications and experience. Total compensation package includes free PPE, competitive base pay, annual profitability‑based bonus, referral bonus, recognition incentives and extensive training opportunities.
