Job summary

Ohio Department of Transportation seeks a Permanent Highway Maintenance Worker 1 (HMW1) or Highway Technician 1 (HT1) for Trumbull County. Flexible schedule; full-time placement in District 4 Garage, Youngstown. CDL training available and required CDL with tanker endorsement; responsibilities include highway maintenance and snow/ice operations.

Qualifications

• Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition & subtraction and in reading, writing & speaking common English vocabulary.
• Must obtain Class B Commercial Driver's License with tanker endorsement without airbrake restriction

Responsibilities

• Serve the public and work to make Ohio roads safer.
• Attend training to obtain CDL licensure if not already licensed.
• Perform highway maintenance activities: flagging, pothole patching, repair of guardrails, litter pickup, mowing.
• Conduct snow and ice operations.
