The State of Arizona's Department of Transportation is hiring a Highway Operations Laborer in Phoenix. This entry-level role leads into the Highway Operations Technician series, with potential progression as you gain experience.

As a Highway Operations Worker/Tech, you will operate vehicles, perform pavement care, signing and striping, and supervise tasks on occasion. A CDL is required prior to start, with safety and environmental duties accompanying daily work.

Competenze

• 6 months of roadway/highway experience for Highway Operations Worker.
• 1 year of roadway/highway experience for Tech 1.
• 2 years of roadway/highway experience for Tech 2.
• 3 years of roadway/highway experience for Tech 3.

Mansioni

• Operate motorized vehicles and equipment for pavement care and preservation.
• Perform signing and striping, landscape care and roadside work.
• Schedule, assign, and oversee subordinate work and inspect tasks.
• Ensure environmental compliance and vehicle/equipment care.
• Respond to emergency calls and comply with safety requirements.
