The ideal candidate has strong leadership, extensive field experience, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications, coordinating with engineers and project managers to meet project goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; certs in construction management preferred.
• Ten years in highway heavy construction; at least five years in supervision.
• Knowledge of highway heavy construction techniques, materials, and equipment.
• Excellent leadership and communication abilities; able to read blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of highway heavy construction workers.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones.
• Inspect work progress, equipment, and construction sites to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure project specifications are met.
• Train and mentor crew members, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of work progress, materials used, and any issues encountered.
• Resolve any on-site issues or conflicts that may arise.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of construction equipment and tools.
• Conduct regular safety meetings and enforce safety protocols.
