Job summary

ALH Talent Partners seeks a senior civil engineer to lead schematic design and PS&E for highway projects in the DFW area. This hybrid role requires a Texas P.E., ABET-accredited BS in Civil Engineering, and 15+ years of multi-discipline experience, including 8+ years of project management.

You will mentor design teams, coordinate with multi-discipline consultants, advance innovative design techniques, and support client relations, proposals, and design reviews.

Qualifications

• BSCE from ABET-accredited college or university.
• P.E. license in Texas.
• 15+ years multi-discipline schematic design/PS&E experience; 8+ years managing projects, preferably in the DFW market.
• Strong mentoring and relationship-building abilities.
• Proficient with MicroStation, GeoPak, MS Excel and project scheduling.

Job description

This hybrid position will lead the efforts for Schematic design and PS&E for highway projects in the DFW area.

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams and efforts in the accomplishment project/task assignments related to schematic design and PS&E for highway projects
• Provide guidance and direction to project design team for various tasks within the scope of a project, which may include training and supervising project team
• Lead multi-discipline support consultant teams in project development and design
• Participate in the development of innovative design techniques, support tools, and project delivery methods
• Present new ideas and techniques to clients and stakeholders
• Support efforts in proposal development, project scoping as well as with client relationship development
• Attend design review meetings and interact with clients with support staff

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited college or university
• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the state of Texas
• 15 years' multi-discipline experience in schematic design and PS&E, with at least 8 years' managing projects from conception to completion; preferably in the DFW market
• Ability to technically and professionally mentor members of project team
• Exceptional ability to develop and maintain professional relationships
• Working knowledge MicroStation, GeoPak, MS Excel and scheduling
• Effective communication skills, both oral and written, with all levels of employees in an organization
• Must be able to work from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, with overtime as needed to meet project deadlines
