Base pay range

$85,000.00/yr - $130,000.00/yr

Location: Remote - Must live in the South East, US

Employment Type: Full-Time

Experience Level: Mid-Level (4+ years)

Our Client is a leading civil engineering firm focusing on a variety of engineering disciplines including but not limited to roadway design, civil/site design, hydraulic design, project management, program management, and public involvement, across the Southeastern United States.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Roadway Engineer to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in roadway design and a proven track record of working on projects for state departments of transportation, including SCDOT, GDOT, and/or NCDOT. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to significant transportation projects that make a lasting impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and design roadway plans from preliminary concepts to final construction documents.
  • Utilize MicroStation and GEOPAK/OpenRoads for plan production and design tasks.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Conduct technical analyses and prepare engineering reports.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable design standards and regulations.
  • Participate in client meetings and coordinate with stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or the ability to obtain licensure within 12 months.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in roadway design, with a focus on projects for SCDOT, GDOT, and/or NCDOT.
  • Proficiency in MicroStation and GEOPAK/OpenRoads design software.
  • Strong understanding of AASHTO and state-specific design standards.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
