As a Highway Engineer on Fisher Associates' Highway Team within the Infrastructure + Mobility Group, you'll support highway design and project delivery in collaboration with experienced engineers, project managers, clients, and public agencies. Your work will include developing design plans and construction documents while applying applicable state and local standards to support safe, reliable transportation infrastructure.

What You’ll Do

• Support highway design projects involving roadway alignments, drainage systems, and geometric design using industry-standard roadway design software.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 0-5 years of transportation experience.
• Strong organizational and planning skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize work, manage deadlines, and take ownership of assigned tasks.
• Critical thinking, problem-solving, and sound judgment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or the ability to obtain it.
• Highway design engineering experience.
• Experience with MicroStation, OpenRoads, and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Familiarity with state DOT design standards, particularly NYSDOT or PennDOT.

Compensation + Benefits

Salary range: $75,816-$88,000

• Competitive compensation; actual pay varies based on experience, qualifications, education, and other factors and excludes the value of benefits.
