The role includes inspecting construction items for conformance to plans, performing tests, keeping records and reporting findings under supervision, with exposure to field hazards.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a relevant bachelor’s or post-bachelor’s degree program full-time (12 credits).
• ABET-accredited program if engineering track.
• GPA of at least 2.0 on a 4.0 scale.

Responsibilities

• Assist in construction inspections ensuring contractor activities comply with contracts and specifications.
• Perform basic construction tests (air, slump, moisture, compaction, gradation, density) and report results.
• Inspect plants and paving, including grading, base, bituminous or concrete projects and utilities adjustments.
