Job Overview

Tutor Doctor Pearland is a tutoring company providing private, in-home, one-to-one tutoring to students in all grade levels in Pearland, Friendswood, League City, and neighboring areas. Tutors deliver lessons at the student's home.

Responsibilities

Provide tutoring for reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, spelling, composition, writing skills, essay writing, and other English language content to middle school and high school students and beyond. Deliver lessons as requested at students’ homes.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and a friendly personality
• Academic background in English - degree or diploma
• Minimum of 1 year of teaching and/or tutoring experience at higher grade levels
• Ability to personalize lessons for each student
• Comfortable with in-home tutoring
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
• Willingness to travel up to 30 minutes to student location
• Strong typing, PC, and recording skills
• Access to the internet, a computer, and a smartphone
• College degree and experience teaching/tutoring English; familiarity with Texas TEKS
• Dependable and well organized

Job Type

Part-time, Contract. Tutors are independent contractors and have the freedom to use their own teaching styles and methods.

Compensation
