NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

The shift pattern for this post is Monday to Friday

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde serves a population of approximately 1.4 million people. As a result it provides the largest AHP Chronic Pain team in Scotland who work to support individuals to live well with chronic pain. An opportunity has arisen to join this supportive and progressive team on a full time basis.

The post holder will have a varied job plan working across a range of the different aspects of the GGC Pain Management service. These can include secondary care physiotherapy, Pain Early Information Sessions (PEIS), radiofrequency physiotherapy clinic, GGC pain management programme and Scottish National Pain Management Programme (hosted in GGC). In addition, they will be involved with enhanced MDT vetting sessions, weekly MDT meetings, and supporting rotational staff and students. They will also have the opportunity to foster relationships across the Scottish AHP Pain Network and take part and lead on audit, research and quality improvement projects.

The AHP pain service has a proven track record of being an exciting service to work within. The team is motivated to continually improve the patient experience. Alongside clinical work, team members are supported with personal and service development projects.

It is essential that you have a degree or diploma in Physiotherapy and have current HCPC registration as a Physiotherapist. You will have post graduate experience in a relevant outpatient or long term condition based service. Ideally you will have experience working in a multidisciplinary team. You will be motivated by psychologically informed, person centred care, service development and forward thinking in how pain management physiotherapy will be delivered in future.
