Salary Amount or Range: $45-$50hr DOE + health stipend, 401K, 2 weeks accrued paid vacation, 5 sick days, 5 holidays (NYD, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas)

Description

A fun-loving, warm and active family is seeking a highly organized, discreet, and experienced UHNW Family Assistant to join their team. They are looking for someone who is young at heart, playful and will foster creativity. This role requires a proactive, flexible individual with exceptional interpersonal skills and a strong work ethic. Responsibilities include childcare for their two children, ages 6 and 8 years old, cooking and light housekeeping, children’s laundry, and some assistance with booking travel, calendar management, scheduling vendors, and researching/booking activities and/or tutors for the children.

Flexibility is important as the schedule could potentially change or they may need someone to stay later in the evenings or work weekends if the principal is working late. Additionally they are looking for someone who has availability to travel (usually once a quarter, international and domestic).

The best person for them is energetic and engaging with a fun-seeking approach to childcare, discrete and trustworthy, as well as proactive and adaptable.

Schedule: Your shifts and start and end times will be flexible to accommodate changes in the Family’s schedule and travel requirements, shift coverage for other caregivers, and any other needs.

Wed-Sat schedule (May 2025, potentially flipping back during summer or end of summer)
a. Wednesday 12pm-8pm
b. Thursday: 7am-8pm
c. Friday: 7am-6pm
d. Saturday: 8am-8pm

Sun-Wed schedule (most likely starting June 1, 2025)
a. Sunday 8am-8pm
b. Monday: 7am-8pm
c. Tuesday: 7am-9pm
d. Wednesday: 7am-12pm

Five/two schedule – at some point the schedule may move to a 5:2:2:5 schedule. This would look approximately like the below:
Week 1:

  • Mon: 7am to 8pm
  • Tues: 7am to 8pm
  • Wed – Thurs: off
  • Fri: 7am to 6pm
  • Sat: 8am to 8pm
  • Sun: 7am to 8pm

Week 2:

  • Mon: 7am to 8pm
  • Tues: 7am to 8pm
  • Wed – Sun: Off
Experience Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of proven experience as a high-level family assistant, preferably with UHNW families.
Educational Requirements
  • Fluency in English

  • All vaccines up to date including COVID-vaccinated and boosted, MMR, TB, Tdap
  • CPR Certified
  • A valid driver’s license and clean driving record (family can provide household vehicle for work-related driving)

  • Proficiency in Google Suite and other relevant software

Responsibilities
  • Active Childcare:
    • Care of school age children (6,8)
    • Food, sleep, exercise, other schedules and activities
    • Transport to/from school and activities
    • Help watch when sick or on weekends (flexibility is key)
    • Assist with homework
    • Children’s laundry
    • Occasionally travel with family
    • Swimming with children or being available to watch children in pool as needed
  • Cooking and Light Housekeeping:
    • Grocery shopping
    • Food prep for family
    • Cleaning up / tidying (there is also a cleaner 3x per week)
    • Take out trash when cleaners not in
    • Various needs as requested
  • Family Assistance:
    • Manage complex personal schedules, including hair and doctor appointments, travel arrangements, and social events.
    • Arrange domestic and international travel, including booking flights, accommodations, and ground transportation.
    • Obtain visas and other necessary travel documents.
    • Handle personal errands and tasks, such as shopping, gift procurement, dry cleaning
    • Booking and reservations for kids camps, tutors
    • Finding tutors, sports coach, etc.
  • Property Management:
    • Help with house/property maintenance and scheduling regular service
    • Occasionally meet vendors onsite to let them on property
    • Maintain the care of automobiles including scheduling regular service
  • Confidential Matters:
    • Handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion.
    • Maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
