Higher Ed Field Sales Representative - Northern CA

Our client, a leading publisher of world language products, is seeking a dedicated sales professional to join their team. This role involves managing a territory in Northern California, focusing on selling Higher Education world language learning, ELL, and ESL products into colleges and universities.

Location: Remote within Sacramento, San Francisco, San Jose, or Burbank, CA. Willingness to travel is required; relocation is not offered.

Responsibilities:
  1. Manage and grow the assigned territory by closing business to meet sales quotas.
  2. Build and maintain strong relationships with education professionals.
  3. Understand customer needs and deliver tailored solutions.
  4. Conduct engaging virtual and live presentations to demonstrate how our solutions meet client challenges and learning goals.
  5. Collaborate with sales support and customer success teams to ensure client needs are met.
  6. Travel within the territory for meetings, industry events, and company functions.
  7. Utilize CRM and sales tools effectively for account management.
Qualifications:
  • 2-3 years of experience in Higher Education ed-tech or publishing sales, with a focus on business development or account management.
  • Experience in consultative field sales within a territory, preferably in the Upper Midwest.
  • Strong digital presentation skills and experience demonstrating digital resources.
  • Excellent relationship-building, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Territory management, prospecting, negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and sales analytics tools.
  • Ability to travel as needed without restrictions.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience teaching language courses at Higher Education institutions.
  • Hands-on knowledge of Salesforce.com.
  • Proficiency in Spanish, German, French, or Italian.
  • Advanced degree preferred.
