Job summary

The Pennsylvania State University is seeking an experienced Data Analyst (Intermediate Professional) to retrieve and analyze data from multiple sources. You will generate reports for college leadership to drive planning, assessment, and performance improvements across the Eberly College of Science.

You will collaborate with college personnel, design surveys, and provide consultation on data-driven decision-making while ensuring secure data practices. A hybrid work arrangement is offered.

Qualifications

• Experience translating data into actionable insights in a higher education setting.
• Fluency with issues in science and higher education affecting students.
• Strong time and project management skills.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment.
• Excellent data presentation and communication skills.
• Familiarity with student data systems and university policies.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve and analyze data from institutional sources to provide reports for college leadership.
• Collaborate with college personnel for strategic planning and KPI development.
• Design, write, and analyze survey data.
• Serve as a consultant to college units on data gathering and interpretation.
• Advise on assessment initiatives and learning outcomes.
• Partner with IT to maintain a secure data repository.
• Contribute to ad hoc analyses and participate in university committees.
