Job summary

You will back up the Budget Specialist, prepare detailed chartfield analyses, and ensure compliance with University policies while handling sensitive financial data in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge related to financial management, budgeting, budgetary reporting, and analysis.
• A working knowledge of PeopleSoft or similar financial management system.
• Knowledge of UGA and USG budget policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and approve budget journals and transfers to ensure compliance with policies.
• Analyze budget journals for chartfield accuracy and revenue/expense alignment.
• Ensure journal revenue/expense budget alignment and compliance with procedures.
• Provide backup to Budget Office staff and assist with training and reporting.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual budget reporting and data collection.
