Job summary

ABM Industries in Houston seeks a National Collegiate Athletics Director to grow our Education Solutions for Higher Education markets. You will interact with C-suite leaders to translate needs into a full solution, with strong focus on public finance and operating-budget recovery.

The role requires proficiency in financial analysis, proposal writing, and selling bundled financial and facility solutions. ABM offers a comprehensive benefits package and a competitive salary.

Qualifications

• Proven success in selling complex facilities services and/or performance contracts.
• Long RFP-driven sales cycles experience.
• Experience selling into Colleges/Universities preferred.
• Knowledge of proactive prospecting at the financial decision level of HED.
• Experience selling multi-year contracts with millions in annual value.
• Four-year degree; more experience can substitute.
• Persuasive proposal writing for RFPs, RFQs, contracts.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills; MS Office.
• Comfort speaking to large audiences.
• Understanding operating budgets.
• Ability to collaborate with an Operations Team and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Secure appointments with Higher Ed – C level decision makers and Athletics leadership.
• Drive sales process from prospecting to closing with strategy.
• Qualify and develop a territory plan to meet quotas.
• Read and interpret client financial statements.
• Develop an understanding of the collegiate athletics industry.
• Secure opportunities through financial agreements.
• Understand energy conservation laws/regulations.
• Identify and sell bundled financial, facility and technical solutions.
• Assist in tailoring the right solution for the customer.
• Communicate and sell at all education organization levels, including C-suite.
• Advocate for referenceable clients relating to the value proposition.
